Dune is a great read indeed. Even if you already watched the movies (which isn't too often the case with adapted books).
And I am just reading "The Stolen Throne" by David Gaider and will be reading "The Calling" next up.

Aside of that, i am in the middle of Norwegian Wood and i have 2 full books of novel from Roald Dahl to read in the future.
Just started with "A Song of Ice and Fire".
Am only 38 pages in, but so far it looks promising. Along with the reviews practically drooling over the series, I might very well call it very promising.
Reading Harry Turtledove's Worldwar series right now. Not the zombie one though, the alien invasion one. Looks promising enough.
And as I just saw this here:
It's a brilliant series. Read it all (well, that which has been published at least) and all I can say is GET THE DAMN BOOKS AND READ IT IF YOU HAVEN'T ALREADY!!!
It truly is this generation's Lord of the Rings as an outstanding fantasy epic. Possibly not quite as influential as good ole' Tolkien, but in most every aspect on par, if not better written.
Fear Elearen, the Allknowing!
I've been on a Philip K. **** binge lately, I finished 3 of his books in one week (which I'm proud about to be honest)!
-Do Androids Dream of Electric Sheep?: Based on Bladerunner but with of a focus on the personification of the androids rather than the visuals. It was an indulging read but depressing all the same.
3/5
-Ubik: Probably my favourite of ****'s work. I loved the characters and the conclusion definitely shocked me but was obvious all the same! I adored the descriptive world that **** made in this book. Very captive of one's imagination.
5/5
-The World Jones Made: I was a little disappointed that the book was barely focused on the mutants even though they were the highlight of the first chapter. I was also incredibly confused on whether Jones was intended to be a hero or villain. I guess it's up to the reader's interpretation. Personally, I despised the character.
Other things which confused me was the fact Jones rambled on and on about space exploration, yet, he destroyed creatures which came from such a place. It doesn't make sense. He was much like Hitler: ambitious but discriminative. Perhaps that's the point. 4/5
Currently I'm reading The Man In The High Castle: It's an extremely difficult read. The beginning is incredibly boring and I'm starting to get a little tired of ****'s writing style.
Perhaps I'll check out Northern Lights. Read some of it and it entralled me.
^Make sure you read VALIS. The Empire never ended.
I finished reading Norwegian Wood and One Flew above Cuckoos Nest recently. Now i have some Lovecraft to read, so far i am halfway into his 5-book anthology. Then i got some Jo Nesbo´s book as present on Christmas, called Snowman. Apparently, his thrillers are the sh!t now, everybody reads them, there is even going to be a movie based on one of them. We shall see.
