I wouldn't mind a lot of that, but if there are any effects on the gameplay then I only want it in the campaign. Effects like the ion storm making advanced units useless should stay away from online play and skirmish imo.

Like the idea , I do remember there is another RTS that does something like this, I think it is warcraft3, at night the dark elves (if that was the name) could go invisible, and I think the undead were more powerful at night too, it made for quite am interesting gameplay.

I like the idea of environment affecting the terrain and having an impact on the units and tactics. not something too crazy like going from one season to the next, but yeah if there is a battle in the desert there should be occasional sand storm that make ground units slower, and reduce the range of aerial units , and affect their accuracy or something. maybe a forest area were certain parts like the swamp can not be accessed by heavy vehicles, make infantry move slowly ,but certain light vehicles have no trouble going through

I think it should be optional. Although automatically off in ranked multiplayer.

Adding a day/night cycle would definitely make the battles feel more realistic. And adding a weather system where the type of weather would affect certain units. Like lightning storms could ground aircraft. Snow would slow down vehicles. And rain would make infantry slower. It would definitely change up the gameplay of a match.

its a good idea, but its not a must have, we need to focus on the core gameplay and other more important stuff.

    My quote:
'Meh, I don't really care anymore about the new games direction, with many loads of hours(make that years actually) on Tib Sun, YR, Generals, CnC3, and RA3, plus all the mods they come with, another game with the same old formula is rather redundant IMO. '

Core Gameplay this,Core Gameplay that, too much love for Core Gameplay, I dont even have a pic of her, I think you guys shouldnt sacrifice everything in the name of Core Gameplay, besides, Core Gameplay is already defined, was defined long ago, with everyone wanting classic gameplay to come back we should take care of the cosmetic stuff.

I think the issue here is whether should we let weather affect the gameplay. Like the Day/Night cycle in WCIII.

I will respect your opinion as long as you respect mine.
