perhaps its google translate but apart from the title it didnt mention anything about why it would be to generals 2, just some speculation that its gonna be 24 months in development.

    Wrong genre.
Fantasy doesn't have to involve fire-breathing dragons and magical ponies. Fantasy is practically anything that is not based on the real world (basically, too "fantastic" to be real- and just in case you want to argue about that, the term "fantastic" isn't always positive- not saying anyone's stupid, just clearing that up just in case).

Not quite. There is a distictive difference between fantasy and fiction. Fantasy does always contain at least one prominent element that can't be explained. Given how strong that element is, the genre is further divided into low-fantasy and high-fantasy.
Fiction as a genre-subset (like science fiction) rather than a glossary term does not ultimately share this specifica.

So unless Kane counts as an unknowable element in the definition of fantastic, the Tiberian universe would be more likely classified as soft science fiction rather than low fantasy.

This is indeed just speculation on the Gen2 part, aside from the title there is neither mention nor indication for it. The only thing that is actually nailed down is the production time, which should be common knowledge.

The Hover Crusader was the only concept making it anywhere close to what actually became Generals, the land ship was basically a design study when they tried to find out what factions they wanted - there's a reason they shot that one down. The other two Concepts are for the canceled "true" C&C in development at the same time as Gens, a very obviously Nod-centric concept and the other one being a CABAL drone. You can actually find some ingame footage of this game.

It's similar. I'm guessing the new Bioware franchise is going to be less serious and more comical than Mass Effect and Dragon Age.

What the hell?? Why wasn't AT LEAST the hover tank in there?? I mean, the walker would have been pretty far-fetched, but the hover tank? Not quite as much.
As for the landcruiser, that would have been awesome to see, but I don't think it would've done good for the gameplay.
And as for the mutant, that could work for the Dr Thrax faction. They do work with toxins, you know...

Generals has (or tries to have) a semblance of realism. Toxins making super mutants is too nutty as toxins tend to just kill people in real life. Plus, as it was already said, I'm pretty sure a lot of those concepts are for C&C 3: Incursion, not Generals.

That may be so, but still, mutations can happen due to things like radiation, and even though those don't really make you stronger, it is still a mutation, and people have survived from them (at least for a little while). So it may not be too far-fetched if Dr Thrax had created some sort of chemical that "enhances" the body in a strange way-giving us mutants for the GLA.

Besides, a person doesn't typically think about these kinds of things, so it wouldn't have been a humongous problem to put them in.
