    Excited but Concerned

I am excited as well! The legendary C&C Generals finally gets its sequel! It has been long overdue!

HOWEVER, if you guys kick out the ability for creating user made content such as the World Builder and make overall Modding Support impossible, or even do the same BS with RA3 and C&C4 by embedding DRM's and "Always Online" content, then I will declare that GENS 2 NEVER HAPPENED and I will boycott it as well, just as I did with the previously mentioned titles. The C&C Community has flourished so well in recent years thanks to its fans and those special few individuals who have worked so hard to create fantastic maps and mods for the existing games. (including myself) Look on Moddb.com and see for yourself that C&C Generals and Zero Hour is one of the most popular modding platforms to date for C&C and even with RTS games in general! Please, Please, PLEASE! Do not deliver a slap in the face and further obstruct the creative development within the C&C Community!

This is my warning to Victory Games, Bioware, and especially EA!!! I truly hope all of you have learned your lesson or you will never see another penny from me... and there are many others out there who share my feelings and concerns.

I was hoping for a little more boombastic announcement, not just a trailer, but eh...

Finally they get the idea. Take your time and bring back the good reputation to C&C.

I really hope we aren't gonna be left with that little teaser and screenshots for months to come like with previous C&C announcements.

At least another year in waiting.... :P

    What a Giant Cop out.

"Hey, we got this legacy franchise that was run into the ground by its previous handlers....what do we do with it?"

    "Generals 2."

"But what about all the fans of the Tiberium saga that feel betrayed by Command and Conquer 4?"

    "Generals 2."

"So were not even going to try to fix anything or use our renowned development team to recapture the fan base...not even a reboot?"

    "....Generals.....2"

"So were going to use Generals 2 as a free ticket to do whatever we want instead of using thought and careful planning on ressurecting this raped franchise?"

    "Yes."

    "What a cop out...."

    "Generals 2!"

Cop out, or trying to prove they can even make a good RTS in the first place before touching the Tiberium universe?

Your post already shows how much nerd rage they'd be facing if they didn't do everything. absolutely. perfectly.

Lol true, also gives a bunch of us time to Upgrade since Generals 2 is using a variant of FB2.
