Hm I was unaware of those crates in in the Nod's TD campaign, I really need to play that game badly. But I approve collectibles like this, having extra weapons in the next or very last mission. But I'd also like to unlock some cool stuff like the ones I said in my first post. And yeah the Intelligence Database could be updated with the collectibles, so my idea can easily combine with the unit customization and Intelligence Database.

If a collectible is hidden TOO well, the player can always use Youtube for clips to see where to find it, like I mostly do. Or they can simply ask someone in the online channels for information where that collectible is.

I would maybe like to see something where the objects you find around the map could act as trophies that would appear in a menu in between missions. It could work like the SC2 system had where after completing certain missions items would appear on the Cantina wall.

As for placing the objects I could see some being hidden inside of buildings that could be destroyed to reveal them, guarded by civilian forces, or booby traps.

Of course!!! Having a treasure hunt is always fine!!

    I approve of this message.

Nothing much else to say really

I loved the "easter egg" nuke in TD myself, would love to see more of this kind of stuff in future C&C games.

    Cool Idea.

Potentialy it could be used throughout the campaign as method of introducing new Tech/Intel to the player. For example, a player exploring the map could stumble across an abandoned Nod/GDI base and retrieve data and other collectables from the outpost.

    - Crates with either Health/attack bonus/upgrade
    - Useful data/intel that gives the player access to shroud
    - Critical information for the campaign beneficial to other missions.
    - New Tech tree upgrades etc. Could be used to provide instant upgrade (CIV?)

i never knew that those crates were needed for a nuke in td, since i explored the entire maps before finishing each mission.

and does nobody on this forum know about the secret codes in ra2 except me? i feel like im taking crazy pills here!

You mean those found like in the second to last Soviet mission to the right of your base etc...and no, don't know what they mean.

I want some cool upgrades that carry over into multiplayer.
