As long as we got characters who actually fight or at least have a real reason to appear in the plot instead of just being for fanservice reasons I think things will go in the right direction, I dont want to see another TWs GDI having 2 girls who did the job Michael Ironside's character was supposed to do, and Ironside actually being at the battlefield in commando armour or inside an heroic mammoth MK3.
Live well. It is the greatest revenge... And be the salt and light of Earth.

How about something closer to TS, where they are in a mobile command vehicle or a VIP transport? I could not see the Generals on the frontline, at all. It's also because they are YOU, the player. It's hard to pull off while making people remember this is an RTS.

Something that might also be seen as a positive to presenting the characters in-game rather than through live action is that there is the possibility of interaction. What I mean is something like Starcraft 2, where you can point and click on areas in the "hub" and even click on characters to have conversations. This is not really possible with live action sequences.

On the other hand, this could definitely be more time consuming for the developers to make. However, with one year of development ahead of them, I'm sure they have the room to make these type of decisions.

I am really wondering what story will they come up with.

TBH, Tiberian series would suit Bioware the best.

But Generals? They never did anything so close to real world, so I am wondering how will this turn up.

But it's Bioware, they tell stories, and I am sure they will tell a good one.

Anyway, thumbs up for the thread, totally agreed.

Indeed, I wanna see wut they come up with.

    My quote:
'Meh, I don't really care anymore about the new games direction, with many loads of hours(make that years actually) on Tib Sun, YR, Generals, CnC3, and RA3, plus all the mods they come with, another game with the same old formula is rather redundant IMO. '

Woa, that confused me for a minute. I read emotional, engaging story in the title, then read Starcraft 2 as an example. Please, its chock full of cliches, and I thouroughly detested Jim Raynor. The only really good scene was the one with Zeratul, when he fights some Hydralisks and talks to Kerrigan. And that was because of the fighting, not deep, emotional storytelling. Something arounds as good as TW, preferably a bit better, would be fine.
    SLIN VLA.
