If you have C&C 4 Launcher Issues - READ THIS

I cannot launch C&C 4, I downloaded vis origin and every time I try to launch an error window appears starting 'Unhandled exception... and continues, I don't understand what the error is, can anyone provide a solution?

It appears someone has the exact same problemas me, how do I run game as administrator?

I am now getting extremely frustrated,I have updated Microsoft .NET to latest version AND tried to run it as administrator through origin and still same error message appears. Any new ideas?

Running US English version on Windows 7 x64 .Net 4.0, Steam Client 2109 Api v012, all are current and up to date.

I login and play, it then shows the cursor briefly, then it disappears and leaves me at a blank screen.

I've played the game successfully a few months back.

I've tried uninstalling/reinstalling .Net 4.0.

I then have to use the Task Manager and End Task, it states that the C&C TT has stop responding and then terminates it.

I did notice when I go to play/start the game it states it is trying to install .Net for first time play??

Our team is aware of an issue within Command & Conquer Tiberian Twilight that causes PC users to launch their game only to be greeted with a black screen in return. We currently have a workaround that should allow you to continue gameplay as usual. To correct your Black Screen problem, follow the steps below:
1) Reduce your monitor's resolution to 800x600 (for most PCs/versions of Windows, you can do this by right-clicking your Desktop Background and selecting "Screen Resolution" in Windows 7, or "Personalize" or "Display" in Vista and below). Make note of what your standard/normal resolution is if you are not able to readily recall it from memory.
2) Launch your game and let it take you to the main menu. From there, go into your game-settings and change the game's resolution to your original resolution (what it was before reducing it to 800x600).
3) Exit the game and change your monitor/desktop resolution back to its original ratio (what you noted in step 1).
After following these steps, your game should hopefully be running as normal.
If this does not resolve the issue, attempt launching the game from the hard drive (instead of Steam), or running the game in compatibility mode. To do either of these, begin by navigating to the game's directory on your hard drive (most likely Computer>C:\>Program Files>Steam>steamapps>common>Command and Conquer Tiberian Twilight).
Once there, to launch the game, find the Command & Conquer Tiberian Twilight Application (be sure you've located the "Application" and not the "Icon" filetype) and simply double-click. This should run the game independtly from Steam. To attempt to run the game in Compatibility Mode, right click on your C&CTT Application and select either "Run in Compatibility Mode" or choose from the available compatibility options (depending on your operating system version).

I've just bought the command and conquer ultimate collection pack mainly for c&c 4 and im massively regretting it now. I've just gone to play c&c 4 had to mess about creating a persona and it won't let me past the intro. It lets me watch the opening trailer then says Internet Connection Lost every single time. I then proceed to sign back in and it does nothing just comes up with the same error photo.jpg. I paid £24.99 for this collection and i can't even use it. My country version is an English language version presumable a UK version not US as it has a PEGI rating on it. My pc spec is an Intel Core i7 3770 3.4GHz, Gigabyte Motherboard, Corsair SSD, 16Gb mushkin ram and an MSI GTX 660 so its more than enough to play this game. I would be greatful if someone could get back to me asap im dying to play this game

One more thing i have an 80Mb/s fibre optic internet connection thats stable so i know its not that.

For those of you with C&C 4 launchers issues, as in, you have trouble starting the game, please read this and please reply respectfully with detail and constructivity. Anything less will only make it harder for us to solve your issue.

FIRST THING - If you have a launcher issue, please post specific details as follows:

- where/when exactly does it fail? Before you login? After? Where exactly?

- can you repeat the error every time, if so with what steps?

- what country version do you have?

- what is your PC spec?

- please post a screenshot of the error if you can?

FINALLY, For some people who have a problem with the launcher not even starting we would definitely recommend you manually installing the .Net 3.5 SP1 framework and making sure that installs ( in case the install that’s bootstrapped by the installer is silently failing. ) This is a completely safe and ordinary software to install, so do not worry. Here is the link, it may fix your issue.

ok when I start CNC4 it loads the log in then the persona I hit play and it says CNC4 has stopped working. this happens every time and I have tried the compatibility options and no go. I have the us version using an ASUS laptop with windows eight the game has worked on every other version I tried it on including windows 7.
