As long as it isn't pay to win, I don't mind.

If entire factions are DLC, then it means that they have to be pro's at balance, and make sure the factions to be bought aren't OP.

Your not getting all the potential consequences of DLCs. That quote states:
    ...downloadable content [=DLCs] [...] units [...] factions.

    Get it now?

I rather have DLC than not have anything (RA3) so yeah I'm all up for it. Played so many years each CnC so DLC will be refreshing within time.

As long as the more major ones like units and factions aren't gonna cost money.

The custom Unit skins, decals and stuff would be fine though.

    My quote:
'Meh, I don't really care anymore about the new games direction, with many loads of hours(make that years actually) on Tib Sun, YR, Generals, CnC3, and RA3, plus all the mods they come with, another game with the same old formula is rather redundant IMO. '

No one complained when TD,RA1 and 2,TD,Generals and the rest had expansion packs released...As long as the DLC's are reasonably priced i will buy them up for Generals 2.However,EA are just as money grabbing as Activision so ,as RA1's Einstein would say .

DLCs??? Does this mean that EA is going to lock off mod support and custom map support? Mods are what made tiberian sun so awesome,I loved making mods for that game. I can't believe they are doing this.

If the DLC is reasonably priced I don't mind. £10 for a couple of maps is not reasonably priced but £10 for a new campaign + faction is. That's practically an expansion pack in itself.

EA invested a lot of money to create the stuff so let them get some back with DLC's, the mod tools will come as always and if they don't provide the mod tools to create new maps and mod the engine some clever guys around the world will create them it's just a matter of time...

They'd be better off just making a good-old fashioned Expansion pack, rather than ramming DLC down our throats.

What's the difference between 2 expansion packs and 6 content dlc?

Anyway NOBODY forces you to buy it. You have a free will, USE IT!
