“Frostbite 2 is going to put Generals 2 on the cutting edge of the industry,” and “will set a new bar for fidelity in the strategy genre.”
Although Frostbite 2 is amazing, I'm worried it's going to seem much more "common" after two years of development. It's "cutting edge" now along with BF3.
Just a note, I'm not a graphics person, I'd play a game with better gameplay any day.
It's just the current critics seem to be blind towards the actual gameplay and inside focus on the eye candy, which is wrong. Generally this will cause negative criticism... =/
How are Victory Bioware gunna' combat this? Should they push the button?

It doesnt need to be a "my graphics are better than yours" contest. I want them to have good aesthetics and excellent gameplay/story.

Nothing could be as bad a SAGE... path-finding was terrible on Generals +.

Cutting edge? Not really, by 2013 Frostbite 3 will most likely be out already, though it might very well be the best looking RTS out there for a small while (IF you have the specs to run it!).

But it's modding aspects was excellent and SAGE on Generals did it's job pretty well. Though, i do admit the pathfinding is bad. But in TW, SAGE's pathfinding got horrifically worst. Originally Posted by Frankaz

Well, Frostbite 2 is an excellent engine, and though many things will be built on it, Generals 2 is going to be the first RTS to use it.
And you're right in saying that something with better gameplay is a better game overall. I personally think that BWV (the way I say BioWare Victory) is going to concentrate equally on both.
And they already said that they will be making a very good storyline, so I have no doubts about that.
