since it woud be a bad idea for bioware to include china, i think russia with its allied member india would be a more realistic faction to the game..As they have had defence cooperation for quite some time now. (BRahmos - the supersonic cruise missile is one such example)

Russia, China, and India are all pretty "realistic" options.
And I'm talking Hollywood realism, lol.
Also, aside from that one border skirmish in 1962, in the past few hundred years, has there really been any sort of bad blood between India and China?

A modern Russia is cool. I think it is the most possible third faction in gen 2.
US is impossible because it has the same style as EU. Also, a CNC without a "red" faction is not a CNC. China is probably not included in the game, since the third faction is "mystery".
Modern Russia is different from Soviet in RA. So it is a almost new faction in CNC series. And it's popular in many recent games such as CoD.

If its a GENERALS game! Then we should have USA, CHINA, GLA and add the new one - EU.
We all like the original factions from generals, it should feel like an upgrade, generals 2, should be generals but better not a different game under the same universe.

I think they should release a expansion pack like zero hour, maybe call it zero hour 2, adding the subfactions, like they did with the original generals Zero Hour.
EU factions should be maybe a faction of scientist generals/reserachers, maybe inspired a little in the Russian faction from ra2 mixed with onu stuff, mixed with british and french, german, italian, maybe they could speak also a little bit of esperanto or something .
