Thumbs up The new GLA style is perfect, Good work Team!

    Subject:
The new GLA style is perfect, much better than it did in General 1, a troop armed by soviet style weapon, I think it is the best style for GLA. Good work team, and please keep the design style

    Description:
I did not like the style of GLA in general 1, WWI era tank, no air force, etc. With no character, no reality and no beauty.
The new GLA troop shock me, first, the design is really beautiful, no question that it is based on solid art grounding. Second it is full of reality. Looking at this graph below it come to my mind that troops armed by 70's soviet style weapon, owned by warlords in Midesat or Africa, which I have seen in TV and news paper. I would be much more immersed when I control these reality and beautiful units rather than odd ones.
I hope you team keep these style, and I think I am waiting for the most wonderful RTS game in the world.

BTW:The model EU tank is also very beautiful, I like it very much. My wish is give Su25 to the GLA, will it come true?

    Positive Effect:
Reality and Seductive design would give players feelings of vicarious.

    Negative Effect:
Just looking at the picture and waiting for the game give players feelings of hungry.

I like the old GLA better. And think the art direction, from what I have seen so far, is WAY too cartoony. I am tired of RA3's circus bears...

    Where's the cartoony?

GLA, like every other faction, would have had a few upgrades to their arsenal in the time between G1 and G2. From what I've seen, they still look like their rag-tag selves, just a bit more modernized (as expected) and fleshed out.

Well, it does look a little cartoony, especially the technical. Well, I hope there are different types of technicals.

Not seeing the cartoony yet. Besides, Generals 1 was pretty RA-ish as well in terms of ridiculousness.

Not seeing the cartoony? The technical with the shiny paint an dthe obnoxiously bold styling? The Orca copter? That tonka toy tank with the orange paint, bold child proof lines and exposed tracks? There is a difference between showing realistic looking things doing unlikely actions, a Kind of 'cinematic' realism (think CoD were the gameplay is not realistic, but the uniforms and gun models look real), and just showing things that look like they were created for bozo the clown...

The EU obviously should be Blue, unless Bioware plans on adding the USA later and wants to save blue for them, in which case the EU should be pink, because it includes France. j/k

I don't like polished GLA units

I hope texture style will resemble original Generals, i simply don't like glossy stuff where it doesn't fit.
