I have a solution: ignore it
    That isn't a solution.

war should be fought the fun way.
How exactly is my idea detrimental to your fun? my idea basically is shifting the damage from one attack animation and projectile type to another.

agree with above post here.... lol
current setup in most cnc's strikes the right balance between being intuitive and also appropriately balanced

No it doesn't. Again, shooting a tank coated in chobham with a rifle is like throwing hamsters at a slab of steel. It doesn't matter how many hamsters you throw, it will not destroy steel.

This alone seems more like an argument to have Riflemen not deal damage to tanks.

Yeah, I don't think that rifles should cause damage against tanks. Rifleman squads should have light anti tank weapons with them.

Which only works if there are Squads to begin with.

I really hope there won't be infantry squads !

I want to move my men seperatly and I want to mix my "squads" by myself.
also i want to be able to equip my vehicles and bunkers in every way i like.

with single soldiers you need more micromanagement (which is a good thing) and you have much more possibilities.

Maybe we could get a system where we can mix/match our own squads (to a point, of course). Would be interesting and more versatile.

It would have to be implemented very well though. I can see a bunch of situations where it might get messy.

single infantry units is a classic element in c&c.
you have to use more micromanagement when using multible infantry units than using a single vehicle. thats the fun with infantry.
sending a complete squad (with a single mouseclick) against a tank is just way too easy.
infantry has to be more difficult to use.
