This is ridiculous. 100$ for a DLC? Concerned about Generals 2 DLC...

    asia.gamespot.com/news/ea-rolls-out-100-car-for-need-for-speed-world-6347632

That is just...too expensive. 20 bucks would be fine, even then, still not cheap. But 100$? That's like paying for the game TWICE, and the game is free. Ridiculous.

My point being that Generals 2 apparently will have DLC in the form of Factions, Units, Campaigns, and what not. I would hate to see them cost this much.

Wait until you see the Generals 2 USA faction DLC for $120. But don't worry, they'll release it during Christmas when it'll only be $105.

Yeah, I should've made it more obvious this was targeted at DLC for Generals 2.

    I see.
The main problem I'm having with the DLC is that it might become a reason for EA to not release any mapping or modding tools, so that we can't create additional content for free... I hope this doesn't happen.

Yeah, I reckon that's another possibility. It would be a shame.

But then again, I wouldn't expect Generals 2 to have any kind of modding capability. The engine is not easy for modders, and developing unlicensed third-party tools takes time.

MAYBE some kind of map editor would be possible, but I wouldn't hold my breath my over it, either.

100 bucks is too much for DLC, only if they also gave you a high quality scale-model of the car I am feel somehow justified the price.
Live well. It is the greatest revenge... And be the salt and light of Earth.

*sarcasm* Pfft..$100 for a car model is cheap, you should check turbo squid, where 3D car models can cost as much as a car!

Such is the idea when you are hitting the F2P market. Given that Generals 2 is a full-priced game +DLC, you're not going to see $100 for a single dlc. You might top the $100 total mark if there's enough DLC that it adds up to that ammount.
