    beating the generals challenges

have you beaten on hard the generals challenges,

using every single one of the nine generals?

years ago i did it with i think the laser and tank generals but didnt bother doing it with every single one of them

so iv started trying to do it starting from right to left and seeing if i can do it with each (on the infantry gen last mission and its damn hard)

so yeah, have you beaten the challenges with each general?

Only ever tried it with the tank, nuke and air force generals and completed it with those.

    Uh-huh.

It was back half a year. Did take some weeks, but it wasn't too hard - the first general of each side is always the hardest one. Once you know how the enemy reacts and what his plans are, you can easily bypass his attacks and take him out.
However, the last mission always have been a pain in the *** ...

Also, I played through all TWELFE generals in the Shockwave Mod on hardest difficulty, and whoever plays Shockwave, knows how incredibly hard the AI there is. OK, not impossible, but still ... challenging. But I have to add, in Shockwave Mod there is no "Boss General", because Leang is just one of another two different generals.

Too, I have played through all maps in skirmish, against full count of hardest enemies. Achieved all medals, including 1.000 wins in a row (of course with quitting shortly before I lose^^) and winning 1.000 battles. I guess my current number of won battles is ... ah, yeah, here it is: 1.438 wins.

    Answer good enough for ya?

Ive completed it with: all the GLA sides, Laser, Airforce, Tank and Nuke then got bored with the other 2

It was considerably easier with both toxin and demo, and got progressively more difficult with Airforce and Stealth.

Trying it with the SW General. Never used her before and need to get a feeling for Gens again. Facing Kassad on the 5th challenge and the 6th will be Tao I assume.

Edit: Finished it with the SW General and got reminded how much I hate Leang -.-

BTW what strategy have you used in the last mission Hellodean?

I've done it in Shockwave with all of the Generals, but I found it easier because of all the new good stuff you get.

Yup, makes things much easier if you get hell of a variety of units. Better tactics, better strategies, better balancement ... I just can't imagine ZH without Shockwave already ...

But one thing was nasty - the attacks from Leang's Earth Shaker AND her Blacksharks. No way you can survive that, unless you are able to build two SWs on your own before hers fires.

well iv only done the infantry general this time round so far (on the tank vs laser at the mo)

do you mean the strategy for that?
coz i cant remember the years ago when i last did it for other generals

    for infantry gen
alot of retries (saved like 40 times against leang) there was so many little important parts hence the saves and reloads but the winning start for me was to build an air field then a helix and fill with 6 tank hunters and 2 minigunners to take out the tunnel next to the supply stash. and 2 mini gunners for the troops that run over the bridge,

then spam tank hunters to take out the tanks, take the other side of the bridge as soon as you can and build another barracks there,

tech up and churn out hackers for much needed cash, at the last 2 mins of the countdown, take the helix along the bottom of the map and up the right hand side (avoiding the anti air) and take out the bunker

then its just spam spam spam tank hunters and minigunners while using support powers of artillery to take out the bunkers to reset the timers.

each time a bunker is destroyed i found they managed to take out alot of my stuff in strikes so you need to spread your stuff along the bottom of the map. and have several places of hackers so the dont get taken out in one go (so annoying to see a bomber seek them despite they are stealthed)

take out the scud storm with a nuke and artillery in one go and after that it eases off

the migs tho.. yeash, keep burning my troops, so kept using artillery on there air fields and dropping mines in the ridge to the right of the mechanic bay to help with the constant tank attacks

    think thats the main points
