Hello I have some issues which I haven't seen fixes for:

Command & conquer 95/ra95:
colour problems, tried suggested fixes, introduced other problems so I undid those. This is of the least concern as colour problems hardly affect gameplay. Can ignore.

TS:
"Failed to initialize. Please reinstall" Have done, still happens.
UPDATE: For the hell of it I tried this route again, and it succeeded. Partially. Now I am experiencing problems similar to RA2 and YR.

Renegade:
no problems

RA2:
sounds works perfect, however, videos do not play. Unless I adjust the volume or brightness, during which the video works in a horizontal line the size of the popup for sound or brightness in the middle of my screen.
Can get to, and play, the game just fine, but I am unable to change most gameplay option, or anything really, due to the image being frozen.
Everything is still clickable though

Yuri's Revenge:
Screen goes black, then promptly returns the game select launcher. Every time.
UPDATE: It turns out that most of the time the launcher doesn't appear, and the game was just auto shrunk to the task bar, however when attempting to play the game, have the same problems as RA2

Generals/ZH:
No problems, works fine.


I run windows 7 on this computer.

If there's any confusion, I'll be happy to elaborate, and yes, I have tried all solutions already suggested.

did you install the 1.03 patch? also what screen resolution are you using? you may need to put custom ini files into the folders to get the games working.

One of the fixes for Zero Hour says to edit an INI file, but when I opened the INI folder, it was empty. Any idea what's wrong?

open notepad, paste in the zero hour ini stuff, save the file in that folder as options.ini (you need to select "all files" in the save box to do this)

Try installing Mircosoft Direct X SDK, then load up Control panels of this both 32 bit and bit, make sure both have their Hardware Acceration On this is in DirectDraw section, also run DXIAG for both 32bit and 64bit make sure display have all enabled, plus all above info

well i tried all this with mine i uninstalled it then trien to reinstall it and get redundency error on a .cab file when i try to do the properties /run as admin it doesnt allow me to click on it its greyed out. i deleted all the folders in my documents even all my downloaded maps but all of a sudden it dont wanna work
comp: is a home build (not by me) with p4 2.0 windows vista business 32bit

ok got it to work this time had to ditch everything in my documents area related to game to make it work so far now if i can get online with zero hr ill be good i was able to with generals but not zh ill try

I start RA95.exe and get an empty text box with just OK as an option on the left, and a blank 2nd option which I assume is cancel on the right. I click OK and my curosr disappears and then nothing happens. Click the other, and the game closes. Any fix to this? Im running Windows 7 Home Premium.

Sorry to bother you guys, but I would appreciate some help. I am playing RA2 (sold out version which is compatible with windows vista) My OS is windows 7 64-bit

The problem is;
I load the game fine, I can hear audio perfectly but videos or any animations do not work.

However, if I click off RA2 and back on then I can see the current image of the video, but it doesn't play. For example, the start menu, it loads up with no icons. But if I click off and back on, I can see the icons. If I click an icon nothing happens, but if I click on and off I get the next set of options such as difficulty etc.

It only seems to refresh the display once I click on and off.

Can someone please help me? I am desperate to play

hey i downloaded the patch but the same thing is happening for RA YR. ill open it and it wont open...
i tried every thing from changin the compatability to dowloading your patch. nothing works... what should i have for rezelution???

so before I installed the "unoffical patch" I was having problems with every game on the launcher save for renegade, red alert was giving me the no cd in drive error, generals was giving me splash screen and going back to launcher. Then I downloaded and installed the patch which the caused generals to encounter a serious error and red alert to do absolutely nothing after I clicked on it. so any help?
