Subject:
The original Generals had an excellent soundtrack. My question is, will we be hearing any of the old music?
Description:
As many of us may agree, the soundtrack from Generals was filled with excellent, exciting, and exhilarating music. It was faction-specific (each faction had its own solitary style and track), and, in my opinion, I think it added significantly to and gave a unique atmosphere of all of the factions.
Since then, I think that each C&C game has had that quality of music to it, the only exception being C&C 3 (a very good track, I might add; it simply doesn't have very specific music, the only factional difference being the victory music). I trust quite verily that BWV will uphold this.
So, my question is this: Will we hear the same (or similar) music? Will they take some of the best music from the original soundtrack, remix it a little, and place it among a newer soundtrack (I like this option the best)?
There likely wont be an answer to this for a while, so this is merely something to ponder.
Positive Effect:
-A little less work for the musicians.
-Music that we remember enjoying resurrected could rejuvenate fans and make them want to buy the game just that much more (I know someone who immediately wanted Skyrim just when he heard the classic Elder Scrolls theme)
Negative Effect:
-Potentially less option for new, fresh, and cool music.
