well as long as its not something lame like the atreides hawk strike

making units retreat isnt a good weapon
the units almost never retreated off the map so it was pretty much useless.

That's one thing I hope Bioware does and sticks to the roots of Generals... as for EU Superweapon. Maybe something similar to the Particle Cannon that US had in Generals 1, just make it a bit different. Instead of making it a lazer that you move, make it a lazer that makes a huge explosion like an Ion Cannon (If you played Zero Hour Reborn: The Last Stand mod then you know what im talking about) or a barrage of lazers.

What about something with Sonic/Soundwave technology or does that sound a bit to sci-fi?

An Idea I came up with...

Either an airstrike or orbital bombardment that shoots huge projectiles into the ground (in targeted area) and then each projectile explodes leaving a massive sinkhole of destruction

Figured it might be possible with Frostbite 2 an all.

Some huge cannon thingy like the Proton Collider would be quite good for EU. I think missile weapons like nukes (or SCUD's...) don't fit for them (unless it's some cruise missile with clusters )

    EDIT:

Forget if I typed this already but... Maybe something where the General draws any lazer line on the ground he wants of a fixed length. Then smart bombs hit along the line one after another. If the General draws a line, the explosions make a line. If the general squiggles his mouse in a tight circle all the bombs hit in the same spot. That way the EU keeps its, low collateral damage precise targeting style, and the general can choose low damage over an area or high damage on a fixed spot.

The projectile could be smart bombs, ship tomahawks, or just solid steel rods fired from space. Doesn't matter to me.

Super Weapon Hack or defense system was suggested by someone above as a super weapon itself. That is a very unique idea I like and it would make EU unique from US. Don't quiet know how to integrate it into gameplay though as the point of superweapons is to discourage the possibility of turtling. It would also discourage enemies from building superweapons in the first place which isn't inherently fun or interesting. Anyhow I like the idea if a way can be found to make it work.

Well I know that the UK uses Tomahawk missile maybe that can be it? The super weapon building can be like a up-link or a whatever. That can call a barrage of lets say 5-6 tomahawks from off shore subs.
