Zero Hour - Can't play online ""Failed to Join - the game is a different version"

    Hey,

So as the title says, I can not play C&C Generals:Zero Hour online using my TFD version of the game. Installation went smoothly (and repeated re-installation, including partial uninstall re-install). However when I try to join a "custom game" I get a pop up message saying ""Failed to Join - the game is a different version".

I have searched all the forums I can find for a solution to this problem and called EA, however I have yet to resolve this issue, can anyone help with this?

    Thanks

Ha, okay will post this for anyone else who has this issue... was just told by a guy in the pre-game lobby of generals zero hour (thanks again ammo). That all you have to do is right click and run as admin... weird problem, but posted this solution in case anyone else encounters the problem.

Yeah, we kinda already collected all of that kind of issues in a huge sticky thread at the top of the forum, 'in case anyone else encounters the problem'. It's called "Common Problems"

Hey guys, I ran into the very same problem while trying play online. I tried running the game as administrator and in Compatibility Mode but sadly to no avail. The game came pre-installed with patch v1.04. Please let me know if theres something that can be done here.

Make sure you both install AND run the game as administrator.
