RA2 Win7 ***FATAL*** error

Any news on getting this game to work on Windows 7?

Installed the game from the original cd. with the original serial.

The 1.0 version of the game works, but there are some buttons missing. After updating the game to 1.006 i get the error below:

***FATAL*** String Manager failed to initilaized properly

The game has compatability mode set on Win95 and is run as administrator but still no luck.

Any hints tips or tricks for this?

Maybe some kind of fan made patch?

Try taking compatiblity mode off, and running as admin unticked. And disable UAC instead. Get back to me otherwise post in the Strike-Team forums (official support for ra2.)

i also had this problem you need to run in compatabitity mode in widows 98
