Yeah I too remember it, but there were a few. In FS in the NOD campaign there was one, and then like three in TS I think. Although I knid of wish there was more, like a derelict weapons factory or ADV. Comm. Center. Although I think it was cool that the Mutants did use the old Mammoth Tanks

There's a few of those. There's even an abandoned base in the first GDI level, but it's hidden. there's a destrucable cliff to the right on that one island with the hand of nod and powerplant. beyond that destrucatble cliff is an abandoned Nod base from TW1. I remember a skirmish map with those too. I wouldn't say C&C 3 completely lacks abandoned stuff from previous games. There's still the old watch towers and TW2 era GDI walls, and I've seen wrecked Renegade-style GDI TW1 APCs as destroyable scenery objects.

    Something like that

In TS, the GDI final mission had three old Mammoth Tanks you could still use. They were still very powerful

The original mammoths from Tiberian Dawn make multiple appearances. In addition to the final GDI level that was mentioned, they're also seen being used as target practice for banshees in the GDI campaign (If you're fast you can hijack 1), and as target practice for the Mammoth mk. 2 in the Nod campaign. They're also seen in use by the Forgotten in both Tiberian Sun and Firestorm.

Some of the easter eggs in TS were great because they brought back memories from TD. And it would be awesome to see stuff from he old games to appear in one of the future games.

If only C&C 3 had tech structures (Tib Sun era war factories, barracks/hand of Nod, etc.) that allowed access to units from the past game. I admit, seeing Tick Tanks return as the Forgotten's main battle tank in the Forgotten mod was a blast to the past, even though I still have tib sun.

I thought the original poster was referring to the abandoned GDI base in the last GDI mission, in TS. You know, the one where you get 3 (or was it 2? I can't recall!) free Mammoth Tanks?

I loved that, those things help you out a lot in the mission. Makes you wonder why they discontinued them and didn't keep producing them alongside the Mark II. Forgotten would also sometimes get them in missions were you would fight against them.

I'm thinking they were discontinued for the same reasons the real life F-14 tomcat was retired. It was a good plane. It was just getting old and harder to maintain.
