Yeah, I remember those old bases. In the last GDI mission, I airlifted a squad of engineers in an APC-Carryall to the old GDI base to try and capture the structures. I wanted to see if you could build some of the old units from TD.

So do I. And most of us, I think.

I had hoped for such easter eggs in C&C3/KW. Having just replayed through Tiberian Sun and Firestorm again, there are many appearances of the old tech through out. Unfortunately, the structures aren't capturable.

sorry for the epic bump..but the last mission of gdi with the 3 mammoth tanks is "final conflict" you had to destroy the icbm launchers before the timer runs out they can be found near a nod base that is guarding one of the icbm's. the other mission with the hi jacker where in you can hi jack a mammoth tank was destroy prototype facility. You start out with umagon, ghost stalker, and mister "foor on the floor"

TS era bases though, I kinda wished I could revisit it, like how we saw the old Nod temples.

There is a few structures from TS in TW. GDI TS walls and Watch Towers are still around and are used and on a few maps you do see the remains of TS Nod Power Plants, but that's about it. I wish more structures were there to cement the idea it's a sequel, but it still fells more like a TD sequel then TS sequel.

There's an old Nod base on the first GDI mission. When I first found it, I almost passed out. I thought that it was so awesome!

Hopefully Command and Conquer (Generals 2) has similar easter-eggs.

Someone here stole my username, SOB.
