    PlayStation Vita

Well it is only a few days until the PlayStation Vita is going to be released in North America and Europe on the 22nd, and Australia on the 23rd. It is the next model for the PSP and I think it has potential but I don't plan on getting one right away. Would like to see what it has in a demo/display model before I would consider getting one myself.

I'm not a fan of portable gaming devices, I have played some PSP, but it was nothing special. Of course if I bought PS Vita, I'd want couple of C&C games for it, at least RA2 or Generals or RA Retaliation will do fine.

But overall I stick to playing with PC.

I think buying a console or handheld device straight away on release day is not a good idea. It could be somewhat of a fail compared to expectations like the 3DS, or blossom and have many games like the DS. I wanna see how this fairs till Winter, before I even consider purchasing one. It does seem amazing though, I'll give it that.

Hasn't the 3DS actually sold really well though? Something like 5 million units? The Nintendo spin is that more 3DS's were sold than Wiis in the first 9 monhs or something.

There was nothing wrong with the 3DS. The only thing worth mentioning would be the lack of launch titles, but Nintendo more than made up for that by giving early adapters 20 free games to play.

Vita on the other hand, I don't really care about. I didn't care about the PSP either. Even though I did eventually end up getting a PSP, I only got it because I won it as a prize. I barely use the thing at all. But my 3DS I use practically every day.

Interesting, I personally think 3DS is an amazing device. I was a huge fan of PSP, I rememer those days playing God of War, Grand theft Auto, and Naruto Ultimate Ninja Heroes.

Now on the PS Vita, its nearly the PS3 graphics. I prefer vita over 3Ds though, as I am not much fan of 3D and I prefer more hardcore games with HD graphics. It has almost everything the 3Ds has except the 3D ofcourse.

One thing is that most of the 3DS games that were released at first weren't the highest quality on the market. And once most of the other games came out they were remakes of old 64 titles, I have only seen a very few games that could be good. Kid Icarus: Uprising which comes out next month does seem like it would be a great addition to the 3DS library.

Was going to make a thread about the vita too...

Its an amazing device, quad core processing, 512 ram, OLED 5" screen, touchpad, dual analogs...

Now I am waiting for GTA IV Stories to be announced and Call of Duty Black Ops 2 and hopefully Mortal Kombat:

    Here is the trailer.

Not enough games on the PS Vita to woo me into purchasing one right now. I will wait a year and see what games become available at that point.
