i fucking hate the matlock, worst piece of **** ive ever seen, glad its a pre order bonus cuz i dont want that crap on my game

also once they fix the FoV when playing the krogan and some melee issues where you charge past the enemy or push the aside then bash the air, krogan is gonna be the most lulz thing to play
Why is the Revenant bad? It as tons of ammunition, so you can reliably run with this weapon alone without ever having to think of running to ammo crates during a mission/wave, has a staggering RoF, deals a lot of damage and is pretty accurate in ME3 (no kidding, put on the Recoil Stabilizer and the Optical scope and you can run this baby on full-auto and only have to compensate slighty (veeeery slight) for a weak muzzle climb to stay dead centre on-target). Plus, as you can just spray enemies up close with this thing, that makes it the best close- to midrange automatic weapon there is in the demo. And even better, it is not as heavy as I feared, so running with just the Revenant still gives you a decent cooldown bonus. And it absolutely wtfrapes shields. Try Sentinel with a Revenant!

The Widow is rifle-to-end-all-rifles. It one shots just about everything with a body shot up onto including silver, has penetration, you you can kill two targets with one shot or punch straight through a Guardian's shield and if you get a headshot, well ... gone.

Claymore, yeah, nothing more to add.

As for the Mattock, it is in the full game, that's no pre-order weapon. Pre-order gear is the AT12-Raider shotgun for origin, M55-Argus Assault rifle for every pre-order and the N7 Valkyrie Rifle+N7 Defender armor for Gamestop/GAME/others and Origin. And the rifle itself should be pretty good (haven't used it in ME3 just yet, but it can't suck as much as you put i). It's a battlerifle, so has a considerable slower rate of fire, but more individual punch per shot and is accurate, so pre-destined for mid- to longrange combat and not for close encounters or CQC. I admit though, one reason I didn't use this weapon once yet is its weight, the synergy doesn't fit for me so I run without it, but I have seen people raking up headshot kills with that weapon and generally just killing enemies at least as efficiently/effectively like with any other weapon, though to really make this weapon shine you have to be able to reliably get headshots, if not it is indeed a subpar rifle for personal use.

Carnifex, ... yup. Put the higher damage barrel on it, then the Optical Scope and you got a decent sniper rifle substitute that will reliably pop heads with headshots.

Gonna play ME3 MP next up, so I am about to enjoy them once more.

It's only semi automatic and clips are pretty small for an assault rifle, so it plays out more like a big pistol. And for that it's too heavy.

Way too heavy, that thing eats up way more than it's worth.

I have a rev MKIII with a scope and stabilizer thingy, still **** compared to the claymore that lolpwns

but tbh, thats cuz of my playstyle. I play with the turian sentinel and just wave both middle fingers at the fucking cober based shooting and go around stomping everything

you need explosives to kill the guardian head on or aim for the head, i don't thin kthe widow can pierce the shield but i never tried since with the claymore i jsut aim on the vague direction of the guardian's head and he explodes

Claymore, yeah, nothing more to add.
    agreed

if i wanted a high damage slow firing rifle i would use the mantis or the widow, the matlock tries to be fancy and different ends up failing miserably, like that thing with a 4 on the end that shall not be named

Actually the Widow MarkI has some penetration. It can even shoot through thin cover and I have myself successfully one-shot'ed Guardians on Silver difficulty with a body shot through their shields.

yah you just aim like slightly above the peek hole on their shields with sommething meaty like the carnifex and their heads explode (which is like the best thing ever, since its something i bitched about ME2 having a bigass rifle that didnt made heads explode)
