Hello, guys & gals! I am in need of some help if at all possible. I have searched & searched and tried everything I can find to no avail.
I have Command & Conquer Red Strike pack (Red Alert 2 & Yuri's Revenge) from the good ole days that I'm trying to install on my new Toshiba laptop with an Intel Core i3 processor (2.20 GHz), 4 GB RAM, and Windows 7 Home Premium, 64 bit operating system. These are my original CD's with unique serial numbers that no one else has.
I have installed them as Administrators. I have downloaded DirectX June2010 as someone else had mentioned, making sure hardware accelerator is checked on for both the regular DirectDraw & DirectDraw 64 bit in the DirectX Utilities. I have downloaded & installed the Red_Alert-2-0.0.2 patch. I tried turning my display resolution down from 1600x900 to 800x600 which also didn't do the trick. So far nothing has worked!!!
I know it is a pain sometimes, but I would greatly appreciate it if someone could give me a complete, working solution to get these games to work on Windows 7 64-bit.
Thanks!
-Dennis
