Help w/ RA2 & YR on Windows 7- 64 bit please!!!

Alrighty, guys! I'm trying again to get this game to install on Windows 7 64-bit, to no avail!!! It starts up and goes to the main menu, but the menu buttons are showing blank, no words. I tried to take a screenshot to show y'all, but wouldn't you know it, the buttons have labels in the screenshot, but not on my screen! I have installed the 2008 DirectX and checked off hardware acceleration in both blanks as directed in other threads. I have tried running it in Compatibility mode for Windows 98/ME and XP (SP3), neither of which worked. I have right clicked and run RA2.exe in Admin mode in the directory as well as the desktop shortcut, neither of which worked.

Does it matter that I have both Microsoft DirectX SDK (June 2010) and (March 2008) installed or at least showing up in my start menu? I went into all four of them and made sure Hardware Acceleration was checked off.

However, on my screen none of the letters are showing up, only on the screenshot....WEIRD!!!

Does anyone have any ideas or suggestions?

Thanks! You pointed me in the right direction. I was able to follow every step but #10 as I didn't have the option of Next to "Multiple displays" select "Extend these displays" but I did change Display to 1/2 Multiple Monitors and Multiple Displays to Duplicate these Displays which works. I'm up and running now!
