I have a problem running both Generals and Zero Hour. It has something to do with the modification I installed in these games. Can you help me?
Pro:Gen is a modification created by DeeZire for Command and Conquer Generals Zero Hour that restores all of the features Electronic Arts disabled in the original game, adds some new units to most of the factions (the exception is the Stealth General, who receives a sniper Quad Cannon), re-enables Boss General Leang as a playable faction and gives her elite Chinese technology instead of mixed technology from the three generic sides, and adds two new Boss factions to the game: US Boss General Ironside and GLA Boss General "Deathstrike", who use elite USA and GLA technologies respectively.
Right after I played both Generals and Zero Hours via Command and Conquer: The First Decade (manufactured by Electronic Arts (EA) Games), I decided that the Chinese boss general in Zero Hour is not enough. I went online and found a mod named "Pro:Gen 2.6" (manufactured by the creator of Tiberium and Red Alert 2 DeeZire modifications) and I discovered that this mod will enhance my expansion pack of Generals. It adds two new bosses to that game, the GLA boss and the USA boss. I installed it and I am sure that my game is updated to its latest version. When I run Zero Hour, the screen display is mostly black to where I can barely see my mouse cursor. I uninstalled it and then reinstalled the two games and that did not work either. I deleted them because I knew it would affect all Command and Conquer games in my Windows 7 Home Edition system (e.g., Red Alert 2, Red Alert 3). I have the most updated video cards installed in my system and they worked efficiently, but I have no idea why it would do that. Maybe it would be that the mod itself does not work in my Alienware M11X laptop and screwed some parts of my software up or the games themselves.
Is there any remedy to this kind of problem? If so, how should I use any remedy to reverse the damage done like nothing happened? I do not know what to do. I would be left playing Xbox 360 and Wii if there is not any PC game that can work due to this incident, the one that I caused.
