The same, which is why I like RA3 the best.

Exactly, really, I think the cartoony style of RA3 fits with the series.

My favorite part of the whole Red Alert series is that I like to wonder what would of happened if the events in our timeline were different. And RA provides that with a very wacky alternative to our events. One other thing would have to be even though it is a alternative world war. Which has been overdone to death in every genre where you usually play as the Allies and fight the Nazi's. But for RA it is different because the Soviets are the aggressors. And adding Yuri and Japan which both have futuristic weapons even though the game is supposed to take place in the 60's/70's.

I loved how Red Alert was so serious, but with an edge of oddity.

You used real military equipment, and the characters acted like they really were in a world war, but there were also double barreled tanks and tesla coils that would fry your invasion up and serve it for breakfast.

It was fast, it was fun, it was a bit...off, but it wasn't silly. You felt like you were actually in a world war, and the stakes were high.

Speaking of which, the game had actual long campaigns! You felt like you HAD fought through a world war. None of this silly nine mission campaign junk.

Oh. And I got to crush Stalin.

I find the invasion movie part the best thing
I'm not sure if there's 1 in Red Alert 1 but in 2 and 3 there's the invasion movie in the intro with the hell march as the soundtrack and I just think it's awsome
