I can only play c&c genarals zero hrs HELP

avery time i try to play other i get (***FATAL***String manager failed to initilaized properly) and then i hit ok and takes me back to main menu i tryed to reinstall it 2 times and it did nothing and i have tryed to repair it from the installer. If you know how to fix this plz post or if this is happed to you thank you

Have you tried unofficial patch 1.03? That could solve the problem, or run the game in Windows XP SP3 compability mode and as admin.
