    Look at Tyranids and Zergs:

    Overmind controlling them... check
Individuals not capable of thinking... check
    Swarming of enemies... check
    Insectoid appearence... check
    . . .
Eldar and Protoss almost the same... check
Keeping good warriors alive by putting them into walkers... check
    . . .
    Biggest overlooked copyright crime... check
    - I think both franchises have done great trying to set themselves apart from each other (btw marines in SC and WH40 r two totally different things) even if u are half right, that doesnt excuse EA, they should know better than this.

maybe EA should hire they guys that designed the units for Contra 7 (mod for general)

Noticed the similarities myself as soon as I saw it. Can't say I have a problem with it. Heck, Nod zealots could start calling Kane the emperor/messiah of humanity and I'd accept that there are only so many original ideas in the world, and the concept of plagarism is iffy in the fictional world. Heck, what's plagarism today was considered flattery a few centuries ago.

    So, by your logic...

Tyranids and Arachnids/Xenomorphs/Formics/insert bug species here:

    Overmind controlling them... check
Individuals not capable of thinking... check
    Swarming of enemies... check
    Insectoid appearence... check

Biggest copyright crime in history? I'd ask Robert Heinlein, but he's dead. Ridley Scott might help though.

    Also:

    Eldar/Dark Eldar and Vulcans/Romulans

    Physically elves in space...check
    Psychologically elves in space...check
    Telepathic...check
Race divide along the lines of emotion/indulgence/beliefs...check

    And with StarFront and StarCraft

    Minerals feature heavily...check
    Power armored terrans...check
Terrans drain resources quickly in lore...check
    Bug species...check
    Advanced species with superior technology...check

Ultimately, these are all sci-fi tropes. I don't have a problem with x 'copying'/paying homage to y, and anyone who does take issue I think needs to broaden their horizons.

It's funny...I've seen the claim made, but never any actual evidence for it. It's true that Blizzard actually considered making a Star Wars game before StarCraft, and the earliest concepts of the game included space vampires and orcs (yes, really), but there's never been any particular link with GW that I've seen in any independent source. Obviously orcs are a likely nod, but the concept of 'orcs in space' was also done by Blizzard in Blackthorne. That's pretty much a copy of GW orks, but the concept was quickly abandoned for StarCraft.

I expected to see some reused old GDI/Nod tech from TD/TS era in the mutant's arsenal, not this.

    Well, that raises to questions:

    1) How did these pictures got released if they were just concepts? Wasnt it EA that released them?

    2) Why is EA still using the Baneblade chassis for the forgotten tanks?
Sure, they removed the guns, but you can still recognize the baneblade base if you look closely.

There is always room for change....

    My quote:
'Meh, I don't really care anymore about the new games direction, with many loads of hours(make that years actually) on Tib Sun, YR, Generals, CnC3, and RA3, plus all the mods they come with, another game with the same old formula is rather redundant IMO. '
