In God We Trust Official Trailer

First of: No, it's not a movie. It's only a demonstration trailer created for 1200 £. Altough the creators want to gain reasonable funding from large studios and make it into a full motion picture. In fact, I've heard at least 40 minutes of footage were shot for this trailer.

The Evangelion references are on the verge of ripping the said anime off, and sometimes the footage seems pretty garage-esque, still, the idea, atmosphere, special effects and amazing sound are at least impressive:

It's "£", the symbol which my keyboard lacks, so I wrote GBP instead. Fixed now.

Appears to be an end of the world scenario with militias using religious symbols fighting over a scientist who can talk with God.

Such an absurd scenario, coupled with an absurdly dark atmosphere - I thought I'll share it, especialy given it's an independent production.

This is what happens when you add monies to someones fanfic. As much as I'd like to see how the story goes, I'd hate it if they wouldn't acknowledge that they just ripped off the idea from Evangelion and I doubt they'll do.

There is nothing I could say other than that trailer is abnormally awesome. I don't entirely understand what the plotline is supposed to be about, but whatever it is, I am really hoping now that they make it into a movie.

The trailer makes little sense to me and I am going to say this now, I have a feeling a few atheists may not see it or will ridicule it.

To the contrary, I think religious fanatics will not be happy with this film.

Hmm, it seems more religious folk will be displeased with this film. Not the other way around.

Anyway, pretty good trailer. Looks interesting, and I really hope it gets a decent budget. Because it could very well be a decent film.

I would say there are points for religious and nonreligious people to not like it. For me what I see in the trailer is that it's mostly about unneeded detail how the body reacts when getting shot. Fancy effects but that's about it. Featuring the church and certain elements of it can offset people regardless of their belief, and please don't use atheist as the opposite of religious or Christian as you can be religious and an atheist if the religion doesn't have any god, there are more than enough of them, nonreligious is the right term if you mean the opposite of religion. Also religion isn't confined to Christianity and in my opinion saying religious equals being Christian is antiquated.
I'm nonreligious if someone cares, I'm generally indifferent but I don't like it if someone rubs their religion in my face. A good example how religion should be handled (if handled in a film anyway) is Babylon 5.

I don't say it's bad per se, there are surely people liking that stuff, I just say it's nothing for me.
