Re-installed C&C Tiberium Wars.. and can't play online

Hi Guys.. I've only just re-installed Tiberium Wars... 3 years after originally installing it.

I installed it perfectly.. I clicked ONLINE at the main menu, and it said I had to download updates. fine.

I clicked download, and about 30 minutes later all the updates were installed.

I then re loaded the game, clicked ONLINE.. then it took me to another screen where I have to input the following:

    EA Account Name:

    Password:

    Online ID:

I entered whatever details I wanted, and an error type of thing came up " an account or sub account can not be found " any help at all? I don't know what else I can do....

I've signed up for an EA account.. and entered all the details correctly? But it's still saying wrong?!?!?!?! Arghh

Same problem as the above user. And how many different log-in accoutns, profiles, and pages does EA have?! I've gone through and systematically checked to make sure I tried each of the Account Names, Online IDs, etc. that EA says I must maintain. I tried using my "Master EA Account" username/password... and despite being the "Master", that didn't work. Came to the C&C specific page, needed to make a separate account there. But nevertheless, still didn't work to log into the game.

Why so many usernames, online profile names, online IDs?!?! And (most importantly) which is the right combo for Command & Conquer 3!?!?

Does anyone from EA read these forums? In addition to this hair-pulling annoyance with logging in to play C&C3 online, hasn't anyone noticed that the "Read this first" trouble-shooting FAQ in these forums has broken links -- like lots of them? Is this community still alive / supported?

EA tech support does not respond to these forums. There are only users here.

    Try this:

If the link doesn't work I would contact support. As far as Online ID goes, its just your screen name when u play online. You can fill in whatever you want basically.

If the in-game register works, but it doesn't recognize your EA/Origin account you have to do the following:

    1. You have to create a "classic" screen name. Go to http://www.pogo.com/action/pogo/lightregview.do and make an account.
    2. Go to www.profile.ea.com and log in.
    3. After you logged in, click on "add persona" option then click on "existing EA Classic Screen Name" and then enter your account name and that password.
    5. Register your game with your account.
    6. Log in with your pogo account in C&C3.
Edit: I see you already tried it and it worked. Great.
