Am I the only one that thinks Russia would be meh? They would have outdated military hardware, and play a lot a lot like the GLA except capable of waging conventional warfare and with more air units. And dont gimme that "the game is set in 2030 maybe they're completely different" bull. 2030 is a mere 18 years from now, the Soviet Union collapsed almost 21 years ago and the Russian military is STILL heavily outdated (though formidable, I'm not trying to PO any russians.)
I guess my point is, what could Russia really bring to the Generals universe? I know generals is still a cnc game and is kind of a "parody" of the real world but still, what could Russia offer that hasn't already been covered by China and GLA? The Soviet Union is for RA and modern russia is kind of redundant, leave it for CoD.
"Not with our current Economical Budget We aint. :P Lets just stick to what we have now alright?"
Commander32, in response to talk of future US 6th generation fighter aircraft.
The question is, What could Generals offer Russia? Every game to date with Russia in it has either been set in the Cold War or had a terrorist faction make Russia communist again.
So Russia as it is now (non-communist) would be new and fresh, simply because it would be the first time in a game Russia was not "evil" and communist.

Actually, in Generals, none of the factions accurately represented any real world army, and they all were just firmly based around heavily exaggerated stereotypes.
Any argument against a Russian faction would have to be based around an understanding of what concepts lead faction design in Generals, and they don't include accurately reflecting the nature of real world counterparts.
The third faction should be a south american union ruled by an evil dictator/general.
