    DLC = Downloadable content.

    Something like new factions, map packs etc. released for the game. Price might depend on the content in each DLC.

    If you play or have played BF3, Back to Karkand is an example of DLC (4 new maps, 10 new weapons, 3 new vehicles), and cost 15 bucks.

    Its unknown if they will make it just like that, or something bigger like factions though... more info on it would be nice.

    My quote:
    'Meh, I don't really care anymore about the new games direction, with many loads of hours(make that years actually) on Tib Sun, YR, Generals, CnC3, and RA3, plus all the mods they come with, another game with the same old formula is rather redundant IMO. '

    Aren't Forgotten and mutants effectively the same, minor cosmetic differences? Meh. I think the Tiberian factions are fine as they are. There's been a certain rate of introduction too. Tiberian Sun had the Forgotten, Firestorm replaced them with CABAL, Tiberium Wars maginalized both and had the scrin, Tiberian Twilight returned the conflict to GDI and Nod. This is simplifying things of course, but I think it worked well overall.

    Concerning Generals, I agree with many sentiments here, that they should focus on balance between three factions, and add more only if it ensures that balance and diversity remain. And as for the third faction, quite frankly, I think the US should only appear as DLC, if at all. Concerning singleplayer, I can't see any good reason for the US to be hostile to the EU. Look back at the first game and its expansion, where the only times the US and China effectively fought in the campaign was if the GLA had a rogue Chinese general on their side or if American technology was hijacked. With the third faction being an eastern one like China or Russia, I think it would be easier to get a more genuine 'free for all' in terms of story.

    I'd like it on Steam, not Paypal.

I disagree with removing 2 of the most famous and powerful factions in the game... USA and China. It's just not right. I also don't understand why there has to be only 3 factions. Why can't there be 5? Command and Conquer: Generals Zero Hour had 12 factions, but they weren't all different, they just related to the original. Anyway, back to Generals 2. So why can't there be 5 factions? USA, China, GLA, EU and Russia. That's perfect! Why not? Not only will it satisfy the majority of the fans but it will also get rid of the faction situation and will stop everyone from complaining and arguing about it (like me). As long as we have the 3 original and favorable factions then I'm fine.

    Leave a comment telling me if you agree or disagree and tell me why. If you agree with me send me a message so we can start a petition.

    Russia feels more like CnC Red Alert.

    For me the perfection Number of factions should be 4. USA, CHINA, GLA and EU. After they should release a Zero Hour 2 expansion and add the subfactions with more generals like they did with Generals 1.

    I am not a fan of DLC because it feels like if I have to find every puzzle pieces to play the game with everyone in the same way. I prefer more an expansion like they did with Zero Hour, maybe just release it as DLC but also a Disc version, Like blizzard is doing with SC2 with their new expansion pack. A 20GB game + 20GB expasion bluray would be awesome
