Absolutely, there is nothing more refreshing after a hard day of work when you finally get to plumb your numb body into your chair, switch on the PC and are being greeted by a nice, steaming pile of internally processed, nutritionally drained biological output flickering over your monitor. The future of C&C games may have already been ruined due to the overrating of usage of DRM. That's what I am concerned above everything else.

I think the best games have been the ones that have been accessible, which helped bring in a much larger audience, but also challenging to master, which helped create a lot of retention, passion and core community-building around different franchises.

In Ray Muzyka's own words: Generals 2 needs less restrictive DRM in order for this to come to fruition. Oh, and it needs to be on Steam (and not force you to use either one if you have the box version), and a WorldBuilder, and a Mod SDK, etc.

Generals 2 will be great, if not then I agree that I will no longer buy anything related to EA.
