Some people complain about games having no innovation or trying to do something different, but I dont see the problem with using the same formula, it's like Coca Cola, a classic, you dont need to change it really much bcs it already fills the public's expectations, just imagine if they changed Mario, or Megaman, or Zelda, or DOTA in something completly different.

Just imagine if they did that with C&C... oh wait:

Your argument is completely invalid. Change can be good and bad. It depends on a lot of factors. Here, you're comparing an RTS game (C&C) to an FPS game (Call of Duty). Apples and oranges, man.

He also compares it to chocolates (Mario), grass (Zelda) and pears juice with a subtle lemon aftertaste (DOTA). Neither of it makes his argument invalid. Change is change independent of what is it applied to, and his thinking proces was general enough to be applicable to all games.

Anyway, CoD finally makes what it should have done from the start: Make me want to play that awesome, extatic singleplayer campaign joyride more than one time and be rewarded for it.

It's all the best by me. Also, it's made by Treyarch, which are a far better studio when it comes to story, narration, setting and general singleplayer than Activision.

Besides, they have the Dark Knight's writer helping out with the scenario.

When I have seen the video, this is almost kinda reminding me of Deus Ex: Human Revolution meets Red Alert 2 meets pre-Modern Warfare.

Just keep milking it till you cant milk nomore!!!

    My quote:
'Meh, I don't really care anymore about the new games direction, with many loads of hours(make that years actually) on Tib Sun, YR, Generals, CnC3, and RA3, plus all the mods they come with, another game with the same old formula is rather redundant IMO. '

Despite that help, they still ended up exploiting the news hype about Rare Earth Elements. China's in control of 95% of the supply only because they're the only ones mining them at the moment.

Rare Earth Elements are not actually all that rare, and the United States once controlled the REE supply, but stopped as their mines were undercut and shut down by cheaper Chinese exports of the stuff.

If they didn't know that, then their research is terribly shallow and doesn't bode well for the rest of the story.

Or they did know, and decided to toss around a shallow plot built on topical hype, which is entirely their right, and probably a smart business decision. But also doesn't bode well for the rest of the story...

I had that in mind too. 2143 is most likely the next full BF game, since even Wake Island map in B2K DLC had some hints about 2143, simple 2143 number on some boxes.

Before 2142 came out BF2 had also a small hint about the next game, a newspaper saying: "Scientists warn: Ice age is near!"

2143 makes sense, but i hope that it will be a full game, released in 2013, with lots of classic maps, and PC only. Otherwise, it will be a low quality, rushed game (which is bad).
