Should the game have resource transferring?

In some RTS games you are able to transfer some of your resources to your ally, like in Warcraft 3. I'm not sure in which other games you could transfer aswell, as I don't play much RTS games these days. Also, I'm not sure if resource transferring existed in older C&C titles, forgive me for that.

Do you think Generals 2 should have resource transferring? Or do you want it exclusively for singleplayer of multiplayer? It will give more unique ways to play in multiplayer matches. For example if your ally is in a desperate situation where he can't afford a MCV anymore, your ally could give you some resources and you'll be back on track.

Also, not every match has to have recourse transferring. There could be an option to turn it off if people prefer it that way.

IDK, maybe. If this was in Generals 2, I would just tech up to black markets, build more black markets, then give all my cash to my allies for them to build units. (Mostly because I suck at combat so I'd be more of a support player and help out my allies.)

Anyways, what would be cool is if they could make it so AI will give you funds.

Never really been a fan of it. I like support more in the unit and powers department.

an option of this ability would be great!!!

    My quote:
'Meh, I don't really care anymore about the new games direction, with many loads of hours(make that years actually) on Tib Sun, YR, Generals, CnC3, and RA3, plus all the mods they come with, another game with the same old formula is rather redundant IMO. '

If resource transferring is gonna to be added, it should be something like in Cold war crysis mod, but much better. So idea is simple, there you prepare a convoy, and have to protect it while he travels to your ally supply center. This gives some reality and that feel that you come not to late to help friend to defend and rebuild his base.

Yes. You should be able to harvest resources for your ally (using your trucks and workers to collect supplies and then leaving them at the ally's depot) and you should be able to use like a truck to transport a certain amount of money over to the enemy base.

I like the idea of sending a convoy of supplies to your allies to help them. But what if your ally got his HQ and Supply Center blown up and got all his dozers destroyed? How would sending a convoy of supplies help? What if you could include one of your own dozers in the supply convoy and let your ally put one of his infantry inside the dozer so he can control it and start building? That would be neat... Oh yeah, there's still the possibility of not having enough money to build your supply center to deposit your supplies in... Suggestions?

on the surface it sounds like a bad idea, but way back in the day in Dark Reign 2 (which was an AWESOME game) you could transfer money, units and buildings, it really added fun and depth without breaking the game. If Gens could do it right I've seen it work before and be a really nice feature addition in multiplayer.

it was nice in DR2 for example in a 2v2 match if one guy gets weakened badly but the other guy is producing steady, the healthy player can grab 6 tanks and give them to the weak guy and let him be part of the game. It was a really cool dynamic imo

there was always a strat where one guy upgraded a tech building which allowed him to produce level 2 tanks for example - he would max out production (tap his cash reserves) then give the building to his ally who didnt have to spend money to upgrade his own tech center then max his level 2 tank production then give it back - rinse, repeat.

same with sharing power in the case of low power for a guy - aka my mate is getting attacked and his turrets go offline, I give him one of my power plants and he was back online - it really added a lot of easy to understand depth to the matches

Yes, I don't know why this feature didn't become standard in strategy games.
