Even if their goal is to make a triple A CnC game, they can't fix ALL of the bugs. Even Tiberium Wars, which was released 4 years after Zero Hour, had to be patched 9 times.
They made C&C3 in 11 months...

I see this as a good thing though. More dev time to make various features work better, ironing out as many bugs as possible, make the network better etc. I can definitely wait if the released product is of good quality instead of the rushed mess we've gotten before.

Not sold on it not being released in 2013 though...we'll see.

To be honest, there's only 9 games in there, and obviously EA will not ONLY release 9 games next year.
Some of them are unannounced titles, while others probably don't have a solid date.

In any case, all of this can mean many things about Generals 2, such as:
    - It's been cancelled. (Remember how Tiberium didn't get any news for months, either?)
    - It's been delayed.
    - It's coming out earlier than expected.
    - Since EA's Fiscal Year starts in March of the year, Q1 2013 is actually really Q2 2013, meaning that Generals 2 could be out early 2013 (before March).
    - There is no solid date in place for the game's release yet.

So unless anyone makes an official or semi-official announcement that Generals 2 is delayed, I would trust what has been officially said last time; The game will release in 2013. Considering that most C&C games have had a development time of less than 1.5 years (counting pre-production and development that took place before the game was unveiled to the public), Generals 2 being set for early 2013 would mean it has been worked on since somewhere in 2010, so it will at least have 2 years of development time, which is more than can be said for any other past C&C game, except Tiberian Sun. (which is a good example of a game taking too long to release and turning out to be disappointment in the end.)

TL;DR - this thread really doesn't mean anything and I would suggest waiting for additional information before coming to a conclusion. Until then, the last information given officially should be considered adequate. (That it's coming out in 2013)

So there is no excuse for a buggy, not polished game... They have plenty of time, I hope they use it.

Thankfully, that'll take a much longer time for development and improvement for a RTS.

I was hoping for EA releasing C&C Generals/Zero Hour game for free soon in 2013.

I'm all for the game being great - if that means it's not going to be released until 2014 then ok - if it means like 2020, like Blizzard does, I'll be bummed can't lie.

EoN is going to flop; Gens2 should wait until that disaster unravels then swoop in and pick up their base imo
