Serial Issue

I just bought and installed the C&C Generals Deluxe edition.

When I try to play online, the game says that the serial is bad an please try another.
Running on a Win7 64bit machine.

So i changed the serial in the registry adding "-" characters cause they were missing. Suddenly loggin in online works, however all buildings blow up after a minute, both online and skirmish, I know it is some kind of anti-crack stuff kicking in.

So I change the serial back, and I can play single player skirmish games without stuff blowing up, but no luck playing online.

Please advice. Is this the right forum for contacting EA support? Cant get the help site to work for this game.
