For preorder, I guess beta access and some unit skins. Maybe 24 hour early access to the game itself?

For collector's edition I'd like to see soundtrack included (if the soundtrack is good and not generic boring wardrama music). Free access to first major DLC. Maybe some unique units you can choose to use instead of the regular ones. They wouldn't behave different, same stats but they would just look different and have a different name.

    some possible preorder bonus:
    - a second game from origin for free
    - an origin discount
    - 'specact skins' (like in bf3) some custom skin schemes for your units (different camos, paintjobs, markings)
    - merchandise: generals2 tshirts, mousepads, posters, mugs (would love to have one!), hats, stickers, towels, hotpan...no wait
    - access to special units/abilities ingame that others need to unlock first or wont obtain at all
    - access to beta testing
    - strategy content: real manuals/papers that show you techtrees of the factions, unit abilities, ingame maps and their tactics, etc
    - generals2 making-of/behind-the-scenes dvd
    - generals2 'action figures'
    - generals2 plush toys ^^

#1 on my pre-order wishlist list would be having consistent pre-orders no matter where you buy the game from.

    Sick of store-specific pre-order garbage. .

A skin for certain units would be perfect, and make it preorder exclusive and not available for purchase in the future, that would really be cool.

how about a no to anything DLC?

And no specific units... if you want to do something solid shy away from dlc, beta codes etc.

If your serious about getting cnc back to its roots... go with a preorder disc with the soundtrack, a copy of generals+zh, just one of the oldschool goodies discs.

If you wanna knock it up a notch, plush scorpion tank, Guardian tank keyring, a poster.

And for the love of god, its not a collectors edition if its just all the content that was cut out of the standard edition and you've just included codes to unlock it.

Collectors edition standards : Hard copy on disc, instruction manual, hard copy art book and atleast one other bonus HARD COPY physical item.

Don't care if you throw in some custom skins or whatever but all of that is just a gimmick.
