My assumption is that Generals 2 will be released in March 2013, because nearly every C&C developed in recent years has been released in the first quarter and EA are fond of continuing trends.

-Command and Conquer: Generals: February 10th, 2003
-Command and Conquer 3: Tiberium Wars: March 28th, 2007
-Command and Conquer: Red Alert 3: March 2009 for PS3 and Mac (The PC version was released in Fall 2008)
-Command and Conquer 4: Tiberium Twilight: March 16th, 2010

Most besides one have been released in the first quarter of the year, mainly because EA needs to balance out releases through the year, and because C&C isn't popular enough to be released in Fall along with the huge franchises such as CoD, Halo, Battlefield... etc. Now, the franchise is at its lowest point besides the initial aftermath after the release of C&C 4, so I doubt EA will set its release date at a time when popularity is everything to getting a sale.

Take my assumption with a grain of salt, but hopefully you got an answer worthy of shutting you up about getting a decent answer.

Thanks. I suspected as much when I posted in post #4,

    Thanks. I recall.

I felt like I was at such a disadvantage last time with C&C 4 because I didn't start out in the beta. It is always a catching up process to those who were playing the beta.

Even though I personally am not that into multiplayer I would like to see a beta because it would help get some of the balancing done with input from players around the world. Having it in the summer would probably be the best time because some of the people who are still in grade school or college may have it off and would be able to invest time into the beta.

Its just a speculative date for the game to be released. They only have that date so they can change it can be released at some point next year.

    He be trolling.

    My quote:
'Meh, I don't really care anymore about the new games direction, with many loads of hours(make that years actually) on Tib Sun, YR, Generals, CnC3, and RA3, plus all the mods they come with, another game with the same old formula is rather redundant IMO. '
