Well, I dont think I have a particular kind of anime to follow, I mean, I have watched both stuff like Nichijou and Elfen Lied, GTO and Death Note, I guess the show just must have something remarkable which manage to make me feel compelled to keep watching.

    Did I say Tachikoma?

I know I am being rather insistent on this, but if you don't immediately fall in love with them, then there's evidently something wrong with you!

isn't SAC a movie of sort? I never had the time to watch the series so I'm clueless at this point. I finished watching SAC btw.

GitS is a manga originally that was adapted for anime in 1995 (and had a "remastered" version lateron, but that's crap and the original is plenty good enough imho).

Later another movie loosely following the ending of th first one was made ("Innocence").

SAC is short for Stand-Alone Complex, which is an anime series derived from the original manga and set in its universe, created with the author's supervision. It has two seasons. That one also had a movie made based on it.

You made me feel like the village idiot here

Sure, GL has a really good story behind the awesome, but I think there are already enough animes with really good storylines, and it is the show's scale and atlitude that makes it so good and exceptional.

    Sorry, I didn't mean to.

When I read you saying that you found it wacky and fun, I was working off that. My point being TTGL had a lot to offer on all levels, no matter what the viewer was hoping to get out of it.

So in your case, casual fun.

    Only Commander_McNash think's I'm trolling for saying what I think. .

As I said, I am st- NO! NEVER!

But, as I previously stated, there are enough intelligent, well written animes that can subvert even the most obvious confrontation into a cycle of well-intentioned extremist villain-protagonist we all are Jesus in purgatory and apocalypse girl Chiara in her hat or is it?-storylines. And they do that well on both story and character levels.

In a sea of exceptionaly well written overcomplicated stories something much more simple and obvious (while still not only being not dumbed down, but also intelligent) is, actualy, something uncommon to see. And while you may argue that Gurren Lagann's storyline is as well written as any other good anime's (We're talking about Gainax for heaven's sake), I still think that it is the scale, altitude and ligh heart with which it takes itself that make it as good as it is. Or it may be just my stup-

NOW LOOK WHAT YOU HAVE DONE! QUICK, SAY I AM INTELLIGENT BEFORE MY INTELLECT DIMISHES TO THE REST! I AM STUPID I LIKE CUBES!
