    Generals 2 Online/Ranking System

Considering Generals 2 will feature the Frostbite 2 engine, do you think the multiplayer will function like Battlefield 3? Not having an in-game server browser could be a major letdown to many CnC players. Constantly starting and ending the game to play different games could pose a problem.

Bioware and EA are also known for implementing a ranking system in their games (i.e. Mass Effect 3, Battlefield 3, CnC 4 ). How would you react if they added a ranking system in Generals 2? If it is added, a ranking system would be similar to CnC 4, the higher the rank, the more units/buildings/support powers you unlock.

    How would you feel?

if its like cnc4 then its going to be awful. in multiplayer u need to start with all units and all tech paths. a good rts game is a game that lets u use everything and u start on equal level as the oponent.

NO! NO! NO! NO! Forget the idiotic ranking system of cnc4! It's underdeveloped and poorly implemented.

I thought you're suggesting a ranking system something like what rank are you based on your score and win/lose ratio and I would prefer it that way tbh.

that can also be a soft or possible basis for automatch. the system will find an opponent that is near or equal to your ranking for fairness sake.

Nooo, I was never suggesting it! I hate the CnC 4 ranking system! I was just stating what could possibly happen, whether we like it or not.

The multiplayer ranking system pre-CnC4 worked fine.
