Is there any way to reduce gamespeed in RA2?

As the title suggests, I'm finding my RA2/YR game runs very fast on my Windows 7x64 (Acer Aspire 5742, i5-480, 2.67ghz, 6gb ram) laptop and I would like to know if anyone has found a way to reduce it to a slower speed. I've used my power settings to apparently cut processing power to 1% but its made no difference.

If anyones got any suggestions I'd love to hear them.
(& this if for the campaign by the way, I'm aware Skirmish has speed options )
    Thanks in advance!

Haha never heard someone wanting to slow the game down. In Skirmish play you can set the gamespeed (Default at 6) to about 3 or 4 and that should get you normal gameplay.

If you are wanting to play Online, game speed at 6 is always needed. http://strike-team.net/forums/index....0#entry1470360

Yeah I'm aware Skirmish has those options (I play at 3) but is there anyway to get the campaign to play at that speed? I'm not really an online player so I'm not too fussed about that (especially if I'd have to play at speed 6 because I doubt I'd keep up with someone half decent).

There's a way to change the game speed in campaign:

    1. Create a shortcut of your RA2 or Yuri's Revenge
    2. Right-click the shortcut, and select properties
    3. In the target (if that its name), add -SPEEDCONTROL to the end, for example:

    "C:\Games\Command & Conquer The First Decade\Command & Conquer Red Alert(tm) II\RA2\RA2MD.exe" -SPEEDCONTROL
That way you can change your game speed during campaign.

Thanks, the good news is that it works for YR. The bad is that it won't for RA2 - I put the extension in but there's still no slider on either the Main Menu or Ingame Menu screens.

    "C:\Program Files (x86)\EA Games\Command & Conquer The First Decade\Command & Conquer Red Alert(tm) II\RA2\Ra2.exe" -SPEEDCONTROL

    "C:\Program Files (x86)\EA Games\Command & Conquer The First Decade\Command & Conquer Red Alert(tm) II\RA2\RA2MD.exe" -SPEEDCONTROL

Can you see any reason why the RA2 one wouldn't work?
