Cool Tiberium Essence beta 1.5 released

After two and a half years developing new content for the mod, Carnius has already released a new version of the mod. Fortunately due to many fixes, updates and additions, this latest version of TE is regarded as a beta version. There's still more to go for this epic mod.

Zocom, I think you should change the title to beta 1.5

Might be misleading as people might think its final!!

That being said, I already reported a good amount of bugs lately and hopefully in the updated version we can get it all finalized.

Also.... I would like to have a source code on the mod, I prefer if I can customize my stuff. :P

I downloaded it couple of hours after the release, and so far all I can think of is:

Just be aware that this is indeed a beta version, alot of bugs are reported already, so that more polished version is just around the corner.

I wish Carnius can make the patch smaller on a larger mod (instead of a full version) as what Bibber once said in a post that was possible. (see question 53 in the C&C3/KW Mod SDK FAQ sticky thread)

If it had been an RAR file, the file size download would have been at least 10+ MB lesser.

Bibber's explanation is really quite hard, esp when he could just have uploaded a batch to do that :P
But yeah patches are quite efficient, also when testing, I wonder if Carnius just doesn't know or doesn't care.

Yeah there is a way to do that, but not many know about it, for me I use a dedicated Patching program of sorts, though the RA3 sorter can whip up a mod patch just as easily.

Well, he does have a life too(wife and kids, you know the drill), plus all the hard code labor on finding those blasted bugs do take its toll. He simply lets the community do the bug hunt as it eases some of the work on him.

Like PS I was talking about patching the mod instead of completely reuploading, it just strikes me as odd as someone seemingly pretty invested in modding doesn't do that.

Most likely lacks the knowledge on how to patch..... as well as many other things as I played the mod, so he still has a long ways to go b4 he can reach that master rank.
You can use the Sorter to patch right?
I use a dedicated patching program instead however.
