There is a problem with the color and scrolling in both C&C and Red Alert. The cutscenes won't show.

Generals and Zero Hour has no menu battle (which is usually present on the main menu) and there are some missing in-game objects (Mainly, statues and trees).

Install that version, if it still doesn't work. Right click the TS icon and run as administrator.

To fix the colours issue, just use cnc-ddraw. Or better, in case of C&C95, use my patch.
Incidentally, all of the problems you mentioned, and their solutions, are listed in the first post of the big sticky Common Problems thread, in this very forum.
