    Subfactions in generals 2

Should generals 2 have subfactions? If so what should they be? They could be generals, countries, or something else. If there are subfactions, how would they differ from the base faction?

I don't think there will be subfactions and I honestly don't want them either. 3 pure factions is what I want.

I wouldn't really mind stuff like a different unit a la RA2, but the generals point system with a few different units to choose from along with support powers would still be better IMO.

Maybe in an expansion, but really I'd rather they just polish up the three main factions. Maybe throw in a few countries per side like in RA2 or something which each get their own special unit/building/generals power for a little extra bling.

I'd like subfactions in the way that they did it in Zero Hour. I'd also like to have the same conquest mode thing that was in ZH.

Nah, not really... It wouldn't break the game for me but it's not something I want.

They did mentioned downloadable factions on their first ad. The composition of those DLC factions are yet to be revealed.

I'd prefer "subfactions" to come from upgrade choices you make with General's Points.

How is this pulled off? Do you 'unlock' the subfactions during the game? Kindly explain further, I'm curious.

Probably something along the lines of CoH's different doctrine mechanic but even more diverse perhaps.

You unlock individual units and thus build up your army.
