Indeed, it needs to be no bigger than a mothership, waaay to big IMO.

We're going to double the size of the mother ship, so don't worry.

Aldo big things are big targets XD.

We'll mess with scale to really show a sense of depth and scope of the factions.

Expect bigger things from Scrin, that's all I'll say, they are invading after all.

The unit just seems....unweildy. I very much like the art, though. Assuming you want to keep the scale, I would suggest some camera trickery in which the default camera height is below the carrier and then use some sort of 'tactical' view to position the carrier.

-Make it a cylinder with decent width at the bottom of the carrier
-Put elevator in the center for firehawks to come up from the hanger at the lower levels of the carrier
-Make two run-ways, left to right

Terrible description on my part, but perhaps that will make the unit smaller.
Good job anyway, but I agree with the others when they say it's too large.

    @ toti,
ok, I respect that, but could you go into more detail as to why?
so next time we can present something you might like?
mainly the oversized airfield/carrier. its way too big and looks more like a square than anything else. i watched some more vids of your mod and there are some more demos that show the gameplay. there i can see that there are very few buildings that limit the gameplay experience. i prefer a game that has many unit and building types that arent super powerful and heroic. and the carrier is exactly like what i dislike. in one of your demos the player build a lot of walls. i have nothing against walls but it doesnt work that well with the circular ground control. may be its going to be better with squre ground control like the one in red alert 3.
i hope i can help you with this. have a nice day.

i dont think you got his point..

hes saying you need to make it smaller and your saying dont worry we are going to make it bigger..

imo, giant air units are a bad idea as like others have pointed out you cant see behind it. the quality of the model is good but i think for s strategy game its a bad idea

No you don't get our point, we didn't ask for criticism, therefore we're not listening...

Anyways, I just love how quickly all of you judge something at such an early stage and haven't even played the mod...

If you're going to be stubborn and not take people's opinions on board, then I can tell you that this mod will most likely fail.

I'll take opinions after I finish the mod, that way playing a version where all factions are together will be easier to judge.

If you don't want our opinions then there is no point in even making the thread here.
