    So just in case you're starving, in the middle of a wasteland, and for some reason, you have a violin, you can always eat the strings.

    And the bow's made of horse hair, oftentimes, so you can eat that as well.

    Digesting might be a different story though...

    speaking of edible stuff, I saw on FMA: brotherhood that leathers are edible. Then there's that exotic food made from a certain birds nest which is made of bird spit by the birds themselves.

    It's made from the Swiflet birds nests.

    Bird's nest soup is so good. I've never had the high end stuff though. That can go up to over $900 USD!

    $900 bird spit in a bowl... sounds terrific.

    It isn't as simple as just bird spit in a bowl, but yes, the really high end can go for $10,000.

    There's salads that cost a million, lol. But most would be content with the normal bird's nest soup. That's like $20 or something, though I don't recall if that was in Hong Kong dollars or not.

    So are there any distinct difference between the $20 and +$900 version? I think I'll stick to the $20 one and keep the $900 for upgrades and games ^^;

    Check out Nat Geo/Discovery to see how they harvest those nests ^^

    Moar odd food stuff I can think of:
    - edible insects
    - snake venom for cure or food ingredient?
    - edible gold foil found in caeks
    - coffee beans from kitty puke or po-op (can't remember which)
    - this tea (mods, please remove link in case its inappropriate)

    "Lolwut" at the last link.

    I wouldn't know about the price differences. Like I said, I haven't had the high end bird's nest soup.
