    Problems Running C&C generals

    Hello
After a long time of not playing I finally gave in and re-installed C&C generals. The problem is: it installs fine, the auto run starts up fine but after I hit 'play' it doesn't start. It shows the process of 'generals' in the task bar but then it disappears and the game does not start up nor gives a dialog box on what happened.

    Windows XP Proffesional version 2002
    Service Pack 3
    Computer: Intel(R)
    Pentium(R) 4 CPU 3.06GHz
    3.06GHz, 1.00 GB of Ram

If you need any more information please tell me where to get it. Also note that make computer has two main drives: The 'C:'drive and the 'D:' drive. The 'C:' drive is part of one hard-drive, the 'D:' is another. I know it doesn't make much sense, I hardly understand it myself and regret having it done.

Also one more thing: I have the PC/CD Deluxe edition which includes both generals and Zero Hour
