Is "The Crow" the main ASI tank, or is it a special unit like the microwave tank in Generals?
the walking/driving tank hybrid looks cool but what advantage does it get for walking rather than driving everywhere?
also why is it called "dreamy army"? not so keen on the name to be honest
really like the soldier concept btw

I think it's supposed to be "Dream Army". I can't say this for sure (only a mod member can say accurately), but I'm pretty sure it's called the Dream Army because nobody knows that it exists, or that it keeps secrets from everybody.
If you want to change it, you maybe want to change it to something like the "Morpheus Pact".
@ =LEVIATHEN=,
1. Yes, it's the main battle tank.
2. lol, but yes, Dream Army is the name, it's that because the faction is a little like what you say but primarily cuz it deals with Area 51 Concepts.
@ hellodean,
2^
Thanks, a lot of ppl seem to like it.
I would like to see these ingame, from the looks of it you made the error most beginners do: you don't have good contrast in your textures. It is most likely they will just be blobs of grey with some housecolor. The same problem your buildings have btw, the Colony textures result in blobs of brown. In RTS games it is important to accentuate contours because of the view distance.
For example look at: this G2 screenshot and you see you immediately can identify objects and their elements. This is because it uses either a simple shape, or accentuated contours, or housecolor to accentuate its elements.
Well I believe we went with more of a flow look, but point taken, we'll work on contrast in the future, and get those in game pics soon.
Thanks for the critique.
just thought id ask again as it was missed, what advantage/purpose does the tank get for switching between walking and driving?

The Scrin pretty much have a "flow" look, but they still work with huge contrast. Look at this and you can see the scene itself is pretty dark, but the objects use a contrast of near white to black, giving them a shiny metallic look. Yes, you don't have to be so extreme, but then you need different colors to do something equal. Even with Disintegrators being only <20px ingame you still can make out its small legs and overall shape. For the Corruper you can immediately see how the upper leg flows into the lower leg, make out its armor plates, "mouth" shape etc. On the Portal you can see the spine like structure on the left and right "pillar" in even this angle for which it was not even created. The Reactor and shows a vein like structure on its skin.
Note how the units in this screen are smaller or about the size of preview images on ModDB and you can make out everything fine, while on your previews you cannot.
Look up the Red Alert Synergy mod, they had a very similar problem but improved tenfold after making minimal changes, too bad it seized development.
